Brianne, mother to twins Levi and Idris, became pregnant right out of high school. Her plan was to attend college, but she had to drop out after being put on bed rest. After the boys were born, Brianne worked double shifts in order to provide as a single mother.
Determined to do better for her boys, Brianne found Jeremiah Program online. She loved the prerequisite empowerment course and said, “I feel like I’m finally taking the chance to find out who I want to be.” After moving into Jeremiah, Brianne started nursing classes, her boys enrolled in the on-site child development center, and she finally feels like her goals are within reach.
Brianne is learning to advocate for herself and her sons. She says, “At Jeremiah, I can be more focused on myself and my kids’ well-being.” Brianne and her boys are closer than ever, the boys are excelling in all areas, and they are meeting their goals and fulfilling their dreams as a family. Brianne says that “Jeremiah does exactly what the mission states – to change my life and the life of my children for the better. Being here has given me hope and belief in myself and my children’s future.”
Volunteers from Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC), a non-profit group based in Minneapolis dedicated to student loan bankruptcy management and loan collection, came to Jeremiah’s Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses to spruce up the outside landscaping and interior common areas. Jeremiah Program is happy to provide a clean and comfortable living space for our families and having these dedicated volunteers from ECMC clean up our campuses is beyond appreciated!
