Golf & Tennis Tournament Funds a Family for a Year

On Monday, June 20, golfers, tennis players and volunteers came together at White Bear Yacht Club to support Jeremiah Program Minneapolis-St. Paul in a great day of friendly competition. Because of this wonderful community effort we will be able to fund a family for one year with the housing, early childhood education and support they need to move out of poverty into a stable and prosperous life.

One of our residents, Rhea, shared her story of transformation during dinner and illuminated all the ways she and her son have flourished thanks to the tools she gained at Jeremiah:

“I am a walking example of the ways the Jeremiah Program can intervene in two lives and provide resources, encouragement and expectations that create an example for others. I feel confident that my son will continue to follow in my steps, be proud of himself, meet and exceed the expectations that I have for him, and those that he has for himself. Together, two generations, we have broken the cycle of poverty.”

Jeremiah Minneapolis-St. Paul thanks all who made this year’s Golf & Tennis Tournament a rousing success.
