After spending 2016 determining the feasibility of bringing Jeremiah Program to Charlottesville, the 2GenCville Steering Committee voted in early January to continue efforts into 2017.
“We’re very excited about the decision,” says 2Gen co-chair Laura Merricks. “There is still much work to do, but also many single moms with young children living in poverty in Charlottesville whose lives would be transformed by this opportunity. We are currently looking into an excellent potential site for what could be a 20-apartment campus for our families.”
