Kaitlyn is a proud new resident of Fargo. She grew up in Nevada, lived in England, and moved to North Dakota two years ago with her daughter, Lorelei. As a newly single mom, she was referred to Jeremiah Program in Fargo-Moorhead by her aunt, who learned about Jeremiah through her church.
“I started going to school for a little bit, but had to drop out,” she says. “I am working at Bank of the West but hope to back to college soon and major in finance.”
Kaitlyn recently completed empowerment training with Jeremiah, a catalytic program for young women to change the direction of their lives. This required course promotes accountability and a deep understanding of how beliefs impact outcomes. “Empowerment has been helpful because of the many things I’ve learned and how it is helping me be a good role model for my daughter.”
Kaitlyn is the kind of determined young woman Jeremiah Program Fargo-Moorhead seeks to better serve with construction of a permanent campus, which will provide safe and affordable housing, on-site quality early childhood education, and a supportive community to help women earn a career-track, college education.
