Rochester Receives Significant Funding from Otto Bremer Trust

Rochester, MN – The Otto Bremer Trust has awarded the Rochester-Southeast Minnesota Jeremiah Program $75,000 for predevelopment of a Campus in Rochester to serve 40 forty families.

Jeremiah Program offers one of the nation’s most successful strategies for transforming families from poverty to prosperity two generations at a time. Jeremiah’s proven holistic approach begins with establishing a supportive community for determined single mothers to pursue a career-track college education. Jeremiah prepares single mothers to excel in the workforce, readies their children for success in school, and reduces generational dependence on public assistance.

“The funding from Otto Bremer Trust and assistance from OBT staff has been invaluable in establishing referral pathways for single moms in our area and identifying local program partners to enhance the long-term sustainability of our program,” said Jeremiah Program Rochester-SE MN Executive Director, JoMarie Morris.
