In July of 2020, Jeremiah Program Hosted Dax Devlon-Ross for a discussion on his then-recent Op-ed on Linkedin that gained viral attention and helped open up a deeper discussion of racial bias in the workplace. The title of his letter ‘A Letter to My White Male Friends of a Certain Age’ was written after a call from his childhood friend in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and worldwide protests calling for the end of police violence.
Ross is the author of five books and his journalism has been featured in Time, The New York Times, The Virginia Quarterly Review and other national publications. He was the winner of the National Association of Black Journalists’ Investigative Reporting Award for his coverage of jury exclusion in North Carolina courts. He is currently an investigative reporting fellow at Type Media Center, an alumnus of Coro Leadership New York, and a member of NationSwell Council.
