President and CEO
Chastity Lord is the president and CEO of the Jeremiah Program (JP), an acclaimed organization founded in 1993 that disrupts generational poverty by supporting nearly 5,000 single mothers and their children across JP’s nine campuses and a growing coalition across 43 states. JP views poverty as a social justice issue, building narrative infrastructure and civic power for single mothers and marginalized communities to drive economic mobility.
Chastity has spent two decades dismantling systems of inequity, informed by her experience as a first-generation college graduate. She previously held senior roles at Color of Change, Achievement First, and the Posse Foundation.
She has a B.A. in organizational communication from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA in strategy and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a 2012 Pahara-Aspen Fellow with the Aspen Global Leadership Network and on the board of Jamaica2Gen.
In the past year, she was quoted as a thought leader in top-tier outlets, including Forbes, The Grio, Essence, The 19th, The 74, and Nonprofit Quarterly.
