Michera Brooks
Chief of Staff
Michera is the Chief of Staff at Jeremiah Program. Prior to joining JP, she served as the executive director of Leadership ISD, a North Texas nonprofit focused on strengthening student outcomes by developing the knowledge and leadership of school board trustees and community leaders.
Michera has more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of education and access to opportunity via working as a public school teacher, education law attorney, and nonprofit leader in multiple educational equity organizations, including Ramapo for Children, Achievement First, and Leadership for Educational Equity. She received her B.A. from Duke University and her J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Michera believes that every human being should have the resources and support to “choose what they are moving towards,” to quote from Dr. Edith Eger, and is thrilled to help support JP moms and kids to do just that.
