Jeremiah Program opened to Fargo-Moorhead families in January 2018. The campus houses 20 single mothers and their children, complete with furnished apartments, an on-site early childhood development center and life/career coaching resources for our mothers. View the Program Criteria section for expectations that must be met prior to joining Jeremiah Program.

Program Criteria

  • Low-income single mother at least 18 years old
  • High School graduate or GED certificate
  • Enrolled or intending to enroll in a two or four-year college or university
  • Have dependent children under 5 years of age
  • Committed to attendance and participation

  • Complete/submit online application by answering the questions at the bottom of this page
  • Interview with Jeremiah team regarding Empowerment Class Invitation
  • Receive notice of acceptance/declination into Empowerment Class
  • Enroll in Jeremiah’s Empowerment Course
  • Complete 12-week Empowerment Course
  • Applicant review for admission into Jeremiah Program, which includes resources for housing (in the new Fargo-Moorhead location), on-site childcare and weekly life coaching
  • Applicant interview for entrance into Jeremiah Program
  • Move in/registration
  • Maintain a 2.0 or greater GPA and remain in good standing with educational institution
  • Participate in career development activities such as part-time employment or volunteering
  • Attend regular coaching sessions with Life Skills Coach
  • Participate in weekly Life Skills classes
  • Participate in Resident Council meetings and activities
  • Enroll eligible children in on-site Child Development Center
  • Agree to quarterly apartment inspections conducted by Family Services staff and Property Management
  • Adhere to Jeremiah Program Resident Handbook and lease agreement

Begin the application process and register for the upcoming prerequisite Empowerment Course. This online application is free and will be submitted for consideration immediately. Alternatively, you may download the Application PDF and return it by mail.

In order to be considered, you must hold a high school diploma or a GED.
In order to be considered, you must complete the Empowerment Course.
In order to be considered, you must be accepted or enrolled in a post-secondary educational program accredited through The Higher Learning Commission (please refer to our List of Approved Post-Secondary Institutions).
*In order to be considered, you must have been a resident of the state of Minnesota or North Dakota for a minimum of one year.
In order to be considered, you must be a single mother at least 18 years of age.
* In order to be considered, all children must be under the age of 5 years at the time of application.
